Chris Curd Design has created a fresh and user friendly website, designed to increase brand awareness and to appeal to potential clients and trainees from both the commercial and public arenas. John Laing Training (JLT) delivers a range of vocational training courses to both private and public sector organisations in the construction industry throughout the UK. The team at Chris Curd Design has worked alongside key members of JLT to design the company brand both on the website and on promotional material including, the JLT logo, letterheads and business cards. We were also brought on board to design the signage that JLT use in training centres and prisons throughout the UK. The challenge here was to create a brand and a website that was formal enough to appeal to commercial clients but also casual enough for government training signs. In essence the website has been designed to act as a company brochure in order to attract candidates to JLT’s various training courses. The website itself is highly interactive combining ease of use with fun and innovative design to reflect the nature and values of John Laing Training. Since JLT is a construction training provider, we opted to use a progressive road sign metaphor to indicate how businesses and individuals on JLT’s training courses are ‘moving forward’ in a fast paced working environment. In addition to this we’ve made it possible for prospective trainees to apply for courses online thus expediting the application process. We are also running an ongoing SEO campaign for JLT in conjunction with the launch of the new website to increase brand awareness, visitors to the site and applications for training courses. |
